    • HF at the 5th German Wood-Plastic Composites (WPC) Conference

    From 10 to 11 December 2013 in the Maritim Hotel Cologne

    The German WPC Conference was held in Cologne for the fifth time on 10 and 11 December 2013, this time with the theme of ‘New Opportunities through Market Establishment.

    Over 300 interested parties from 20 countries participated in this year’s event, which has become Europe’s largest WPC conference. The HF Mixing Group was represented with a booth at which Dipl.-Ing. Karsten Fischer, Business Development Manager NF-P Mixing Lines, presented internal mixer technology as an economical procedure for manufacturing natural fibre-reinforced lightweight thermoplastic materials.

    The conference attendees were particularly interested in the possibility of the direct compounding of long fibres and the high-fibre contents thereby realised as well as the flexibility of the internal mixer process in general.
