The 14th International CAR-Symposium of the University of Duisburg-Essen took place at the RuhrCongress Bochum on 28 and 29 January 2014.
The HF Mixing Group was represented with a technical and company presentation as well as a stand once again this year.
On the first day of the symposium Karsten Fischer, Business Development Manager NF-P Mixing Lines, gave a lecture on the internal mixer technology as innovative process for the production of lightweight thermoplastic materials for the automotive industry. His lecture primarily focused on the increasing importance of natural fibre-reinforced plastics for injection moulding applications and explained how these lightweight materials can be produced economically using the internal mixer technology. Under the heading “Internal Mixer Technology Closes the Circle”, Mr Fischer pointed out that internal mixer technology also offers a solution with regard to the recycling of lightweight thermoplastic materials.
