Freudenberg – Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of L. Possehl & Co. mbH, has acquired all shares in the Slovakian company ZTS-LR NaJUS, a.s., headquartered in Dubnica. The previous majority shareholder in the company was the Slovakian Rona Group.
ZTS-LR NaJUS, a.s. builds specialised equipment with a focus on welded structures, mechanical processing and the assembly of complex machines and components. The company has roughly 250 employees as well as its own engineering capacities and fixture construction facilities. The HF Mixing Group has long been a key customer of ZTS and secures the future availability of inexpensive assemblies and specialised equipment with this takeover. Third-party business will also continue at ZTS.
Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machines for the tyre industry. It is made up of the TireTech and Mixing Group (rubber mixing technology) divisions. The latter is a global leader in the manufacture of batch mixers for making rubber compounds.
Professor Dr.-Ing. Andreas Limper sums up the strategic acquisition: ‘The sustained positive order situation in our Group requires an expansion of our manufacturing capacities. ZTS-LR NaJUS is an ideal fit in order to fulfil the requirements we set for an additional manufacturing site, which we plan to further expand. The new location ensures that we can continue to offer our customers competitively priced, high-quality machines in the future. We can also manufacture all core components at our own sites without a loss of expertise.
