We - the HF MIXING GROUP - distinguish ourselves by our comprehensive expertise in technical and process engineering which has been built up over the course of 150 years, a corporate philosophy based on longevity, sustainability and a deliberate approach of close customer/ business partner cooperation. As result of our actions we can see common and long-term success. An important part of our value system is sustainability, which expresses our action being aligned to the future.
So when we decided to sign the declaration, joining the Global Compact of the United Nations in May earlier this year, it was a logical step and keeps us in line with our continuation of sustainable activities.
We actively want to integrate the ten principles of the Global Compact into our daily activities and also encourage our business partners to align their corporate activities with ten principles as well which oversee areas such as human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
The ten principles of the UN Global Compact are as follows:
Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
